Launching 52 Loaves
Posted by Chas Grundy on January 1, 2010 under Uncategorized
So my 2010 resolution is to make bread at least once a week for the entire year.
I love cooking. Baking is less improvisational, but it’s one of my weaknesses and I’m hoping to get better at it. We love good bread, and I’m committed to making some great stuff.
I also love the personal satisfaction that comes from making bread. It requires patience, awareness, and attention to detail. The results are worth the investment.
When I try something new, I’ll try to post the recipe and I’ll take photos of the end product. From time to time, I will also post about techniques and methods as I learn about them. The bread need not be loaves – it might be pizza dough, rolls, or flat bread.
Every year, millions of people make New Year’s Resolutions. And every year, millions of resolutions are abandoned by Valentine’s day.
In the spirit of the Zen Habits method for sticking to resolutions (and habits), I’m committing to my resolution by being as public as possible.
So here’s to baking, here’s to bread, and here’s to a year of bread. Cheers.
