Kaiser Rolls (more or less)

Earlier this year, I attempted to make barbecued pork and serve it on a kaiser roll. I’ll come right out and admit that I failed on both accounts, though the results were still tasty and somewhat edible. I tried to smoke the pork but all I had was my gas grill and 13 hours of low heat and a mound of smoky wood chips later, the pork wasn’t done. An hour in the oven finished it off and we ate pulled pork sandwiches around ten o’clock that night.

The rolls, however, were much better. While they were far from the finished rolls I’d envisioned, they were tender and tasty and successfully held the failed pork experiment. I won’t both posting the recipe, but since I had the photos they were worth sharing.
